Those who study architecture are the engineers who do not dare to study philosophy.

The process I have taken is derived from my architecture school application. I am a manufacturing engineer. Design with CAD software and create with CNC table is what I do. I also code from time to time to make my work a bit easier. It was the boredom from the covid time that prompt me to be an architect. So, then I started to apply for architecture schools. During which, I was exposed to Rhino/grasshopper. I was astonished by the powerfulness of this CAD software and begin to use it intensively even for my job (I was not able to enroll because educations in the State are just too expensive.)
All of my patterns are created using Grasshopper's parametric design tools, occasionally incorporating Python scripting. The design process begins in 3D, then the patterns are projected into 2D and printed using a pen plotter.
A pen plotter is in essential a CNC table, a most simplified one. It translate the CAD into coordinates and paths which guide the tool to machine. You can see the video below how the plotter is moving the pen and draw patterns on a paper.
